Mr Telgenkamp performed EVLA at the Cooden Clinic last November on one of my legs which had varicose veins. Prior to November, my varicose veins made my leg feel heavy, gave me a dull ache in that leg, and made exercising uncomfortable. I put off seeking professional help regarding my varicose veins for several years for fear of surgery and intervention but my varicose veins deteriorated and became more uncomfortable so I sought help. A friend recommended the Cooden Clinic and I was very pleased with their recommendation. I received excellent service from all the team who made me feel as at ease as possible. I had a consultation with Mr Telgenkamp and his friendly, patient, confident, professional manner and reassurances gave me the confidence to go ahead with the operation. During the procedure, Mr Telgenkamp and his colleague were both very patient, calm, and professional with me while I wriggled around and expressed my discomfort. Fortunately the operation was over within half an hour. Fast forward 8 months and my leg feels much better. Thank you Mr Telgenkamp. Will

Mr Telgenkamp performed ELVA on both legs last June 19. Such a happy experience, comfortable, relaxed, no pain. My appointment at 9.30 and was home at noon. Went for a long walk in the afternoon, and experienced no pain what’s so ever. so thrilled with the results. Would highly recommend Cooden health Care, and Mr Telgenkamp. Thank you.

I had my varicose vein treated with endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) at the Cooden Clinic by Mr Telegenkamp earlier this year. Everything was excellent. The clinic is clean, modern and professional and all the staff are lovely. Mr Telegenkamp is friendly and approachable and explained the procedure fully. The procedure itself didn’t hurt at all, as I had local anaesthetic. Afterwards I was a bit sore for a week or so, but it was manageable and helped by the compression stocking which was provided for wearing afterwards. The results were visible quite quickly; within about a week I saw real improvement and after several weeks I was very pleased to see my varicose vein had disappeared completely, a great result! Overall, I’d highly recommend Mr Telegenkamp and EVLA at the Cooden Clinic to anyone who is troubled by varicose veins.

Bjorn Telgenkamp had a Clinic telephone call with me in our mother tongue - Dutch - which was soo nice as I hardly speak that language. He put my worries about my aneurisms in my legs completely at rest which the previous vascular surgeon had not. He also confirmed that I could if needed contact his secretary at any time, which is so positive to know. He seem to have carried out his homework extremely well, which impressed me and gave me confidence. Hence I was very pleased with the telephone clinic. Thank you !

Mr Telgenkamp is the only person I could ever trust to get his hands inside my poor little old body. He's pretty good at fixing his patients and keeping them ticking over too. Having faith in one's surgeon is paramount..............Mr Telgenkamp is true, honest, trustworthy and doesn't 'beat about the bush'. We are so appreciative that he is using his excellent skills down here in Sussex. HE IS A SWEETIE

Profile

I have been trained as a general surgeon and vascular surgeon in Maastricht and Heerlen in the Netherlands. Following this I decided to do a subspecialty in Endovascular techniques and did a fellowship with Prof. Verhoeven in Nurnberg, Germany. This was followed by a specialised Vascular Fellowship in 2 centres of excellence in London (Imperial College - St. Mary's and Guy's & St. Thomas' Hospital).
Following my qualification, I started working as a consultant vascular surgeon in 2015 for the Sussex Vascular Network working in Brighton & Sussex University Hospital, Conquest Hospital, Hastings & Eastbourne District General Hospital.
My main areas of interest are care for the diabetic foot and endovascular treatments. In 2018 I became the chair for the Sussex Diabetic Foot steering group.
